8. Rules for Panels

 

Burley Cup (Panel of 3 prints) - This competition is intended to encourage members to attempt a panel of images which hang as one.

Cyril Chorley Trophy (Panel of 6 prints) - This competition is intended to encourage members to attempt a more advanced panel of 6 images.

NEW for Season 2023/24 - Panel of Two Prints - This is for a pair of two prints that complement each other.

8.1 Every print in a panel must be mounted. The mount size may not exceed 50 x 40 cm. Each picture area may not be less than 300 square cm.

8.2 The panel must be viewable within an area 2m wide and 1.8m high and not exceeding 3 rows high.

8.3 All panel entries must be accompanied by a hanging plan or individual prints labelled in such a way that the hanging arrangement is obvious.

8.4 A member may enter up to 2 panels per competition.

8.5 A member need not have entered league competitions.

8.6 An external judge will be invited to adjudicate on the competition evening and present the trophy.

8.7 As with all competitions members are required to upload a PDI of their hanging plan and also the panel images:

The filename should be:
Your Name_ImageNumber_Panel Title.jpg - where ImageNumber is 0-2 (Panel of 2), 0-3 (Burley Cup) or 0-6 (Cyril Chorley Trophy).
The 0 ImageNumber is your hanging plan.

e.g. Fred Bloggs_0_My Panel Title.jpg, Fred Bloggs_1_My Panel Title.jpg, Fred Bloggs_2_My Panel Title.jpg, Fred Bloggs_3_My Panel Title.jpg
