11 Rules for Digital Audio Visual

 

11.1 - The competition is for Digital AV Sequences only and entries must be submitted a week before the competition and will be accepted by WeTransfer (preferably) or on a CD or Memory Stick.

11.2 - The member should preferably submit an EXE file created with PTE AV Studio. For users not using PTE AV Studio then we will accept an MP4 file.

11.3 - The file name of your sequence must begin with your Name followed by a hyphen, then your ranking preference, a hyphen, and then any reference of your choice.
For example:
JoeBloggs-1-MyBestAV.exe
or
JoeBloggs-2-AnotherAV.exe

11.4 - No sequence may exceed 12 minutes in length.

11.5 - A member may enter up to 3 AV's per competition, with a total running time for all 3 entries not exceeding 15 minutes.

11.6 - The sequence should be programmed with 'Close show after last slide' and to return to desktop at the end.

11.7 - Your name or logo must not appear anywhere in your sequence.

11.8 - Subjects - The choice of subjects is entirely open and there are no special categories.

11.9 - This is the only competition where the photography does not have to be the authors own, use of images from other sources is permissable, however a minimum of 60% of the images used in a sequence must be the entrants own work. The sequence production must be the work of the entrant, and any help must be declared. Joint entries are permitted.

11.10 - Sequences already entered at a previous Chelmsford Camera Club AV Competition will not be eligible, unless significantly different from the previous time.

11.11 - If the running time exceeds the available time of the competition, we may have to reduce the total number of entries.

11.12 - It is the entrant’s own responsibility to ensure that any material recorded on the soundtrack or images/video clips shown are suitably covered against copyright infringement. Authors are advised to consider IAC membership.

11.13 - An external judge will be invited to adjudicate on the competition evening.

11.14 - The Chelmsford Camera Club AV Trophy will be presented to the winning entrant.
