Chelmsford Camera Club
The club is affiliated to the
Photographic Alliance of Great Britain through the
East Anglian Federation.
You don't have to be an 'Expert Photographer' to be welcomed as a member of Chelmsford Camera Club. All you need is an interest in photography. The Club meets weekly from September until May with a varied programme of competitions, photographic talks and demonstrations, member participation evenings and social events. We meet from September through to May.
Speakers / Competitions
We provide a first class, entertaining and informative programme of high quality speakers on all aspects of photography.
Competitions are held throughout the season. We hold league competitions for Prints and Projected Digital Images (PDI). There is also the annual Burley Cup for a Panel of 3 Prints, we also hold a Panel of 2 prints. There are also Themed competitions for print and PDI.
Why join a Camera Club?
Almost everyone enjoys taking photographs these days. However if you want to develop your skills and take more satisfying photographs, and have fun doing it, joining a camera club is an excellent step. Even if you only use your mobile phone.
There is a lot of practical help at hand. Most members are only too happy to share their expertise. We also run occasional workshops and informal 'how to do it' sessions to help you learn new skills and techniques.
New members are always very welcome to the club. Come along for up to any 3 meetings to see for yourself what we have to offer, before making a decision to join us. Ask someone to introduce you to one of the committee members, and they'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.
