These are the Club's Guidelines given to all judges assessing images in our internal competitions.
The pictures will be presented to you in separate sections.
Please award marks out of 10 for each picture (half marks are acceptable). However, we would prefer that you normally mark within a range of 5 to 10.
These marks are accumulated and will determine the winners of trophies at the end of the season. For that reason, a mark of 10 should only be awarded to that which you consider to be the best print or slide within each section. However, if you consider more than one to be equal first, you may award more than one 10, but please aim to restrict the number of pictures awarded this highest mark, and we shall then ask for a “Best 10” in each section as these top markers are shown on the club website.
We also prefer the next highest marks to be similarly restricted.
However, we would like you to be a little more generous in your marking of any "Entry Level" pictures.
