Competition Rules - Digital AV


1. - The competition is for Digital AV Sequences only and entries will be accepted on a CD or Memory Stick 2. The member must submit an EXE program i.e. the sequence must run from the CD or memory stick with no additional software requirements. So it needs to have been created with Pictures to Exe or ProShow Gold, there are others but these are the 2 most popular.

2. - The file name of your sequence must begin with your Name followed by a hyphen, then your ranking preference, a hyphen, and then any reference of your choice.
For example:
JoeBloggs-1-MyBestAV.exe
or
JoeBloggs-2-AnotherAV.exe

3. - No sequence may exceed 12 minutes in length.

4. - A member may enter up to 3 AV’s per competition, with a total running time for all 3 entries not exceeding 15 minutes.

5. - The sequence should be programmed with ‘Close show after last slide’ and to return to desktop at the end.

6. - Your name or logo must not appear anywhere in your sequence.

7. - Subjects - The choice of subjects is entirely open and there are no special categories.

8. - This is the only competition where the photography does not have to be the authors own, use of images from the internet is permissable as this may be the only source of images to tell the story. The sequence production however must be the work of the entrant, and any help must be declared. Joint entries are permitted.

9. - Sequences already entered at a previous Chelmsford Camera Club AV Competition will not be eligible, unless significantly different from the previous time.

10. - If the running time exceeds the available time of the competition, we may have to reduce the total number of entries.

11. - COPYRIGHT - It is the responsibility of the member to obtain copyright clearance and hold the appropriate copyright licence.

12. - An external judge will be invited to adjudicate on the competition evening.

13. - The Chelmsford Camera Club AV Trophy will be presented to the winning entrant.
