Moulsham Mill, Parkway, Chelmsford, Essex, CM2 7PX. Wednesday Evenings 7.30

About Chelmsford Camera Club

Formed in 1952, the Club aims to promote the enjoyment and furtherance of all types of photography: film-darkroom, film-digital or wholly digital. We currently have members using all three formats.

The Club, with a current membership of about 90, takes part in many inter club competitions, organises occasional days out and is able to provide members with a first-class, entertaining and informative programme of high quality speakers on all aspects of photography.  A look at the current programme will show the wide range of subjects covered in both traditional and digital photography.

Chelmsford Camera Club is a member of Chelmsford Arts Forum and is affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB) through the East Anglian Federation of Photographic Societies (EAF).

Meetings take place in the conference room on the first floor of Moulsham Mill on Wednesday evenings from September to May. The Mill, a 19th century listed building, is centrally located and easy to find (see Locator, above). There are excellent free parking facilities; at present there is no disabled access to the Mill. No smoking is allowed throughout the Mill.

There is always a warm and friendly atmosphere at the Mill and we have a refreshment break during the evening when members can view others' work, ask advice or simply get to know each other.

All levels of photography are catered for and beginners are made very welcome; there is no obligation to enter work into the competitions - you can sit back and enjoy seeing the work of others before having a go yourself. Experienced photographers can, of course, enter work as soon as they become members.

Visitors are always welcome and can make 3 visits before deciding whether to join. Everyone pays a small entrance fee which includes refreshments in the interval.

Enquiries regarding membership may be made by email to our
